Born to Be a Badass

Mar 9, 2020

Josea has over 18 years of study and experience working in the field of holistic health. Her work is grounded in training in Somatic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Healing Sexual Trauma, Visionary Craniosacral therapy & SER, Shamanic Study, Grief-tending, Holistic Nutrition and Yoga.

She’s an amazing healer, leader, and entrepreneur with experience and specific training in working with healing sexual trauma, developmental & attachment trauma & somatization/chronic pain.

In this episode, Josea and I discuss:

  • How holding on to negative emotions can affect our bodies.
  • Healing from sexual trauma and violence, both as men and as women.
  • Developing the body as a resource.
  • Regulating and rewiring your nervous system.

Key Takeaways:

  • You are the expert in what your body needs. To know that information, you need to tune in to and listen to what the body is telling you.
  • Find somewhere that feels amazing when you go there, both physically and mentally.
  • As humans we are so resilient. When we have safety to come back to, we can integrate almost anything.
  • Find support. We are not meant to deal with this alone. We are not meant to be living alone, trying to do this alone, living alone
