Born to Be a Badass

Apr 6, 2020

Nafsheen Luhar is a photographer, artist, speaker, and self-love advocate who transforms adversity into art. Nafsheen draws from her own experiences with trauma, struggles, and pain to recognize others who have been through unimaginable pain and celebrate that through those struggles we gain victory.

In this episode, Nafsheen and I discuss:

  • Embracing who you uniquely are and resisting the urge to compare yourself to others.
  • Nafsheen’s journey as an inspiration to keep going and find a way through.
  • How she learned to be comfortable in her own skin and make changes for no one but herself.
  • How Nafsheen found herself grateful for all she went through because it's made her want to love more and give more to the world.

Key Takeaways:

  • You are not your circumstances or your situations. You are you and what you take out of those things to become.
  • Be proud of your past self for the way you got through whatever you had to get through.
  • Our purpose in life is to enhance the human experience through our own human experience.
  • Sometimes we're when we're in a dark place, and we feel like we have been buried, we have actually been planted.

"Wake up. Look at yourself in the mirror, see what you've done in your life, how you showed up for all those that you love. And that in itself will empower you to be the best version of yourself and give yourself the love you deserve." —  Nafsheen Luhar
